Play Store Integration
Connect ProductBridge to the Google Play Store to import and analyze Android app reviews automatically.
Overview
The Play Store integration imports Android app reviews from the Google Play Store into ProductBridge. Monitor user sentiment, track rating changes after releases, and analyze feedback from mobile users alongside all your other feedback channels.
Prerequisites
- An Android app published on the Google Play Store
- A Google Play Developer account with access to your app
- A Google Cloud service account with the Google Play Developer API enabled (set up in the Google Cloud Console)
Connect Play Store
Create a Service Account
In the Google Cloud Console:
- Create a new project (or use an existing one)
- Enable the Google Play Developer API
- Create a service account and download the JSON key file
- In the Google Play Console, navigate to Settings > API Access and grant the service account access to your app with View app information and download bulk reports permission
Open Integration Settings
Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Play Store in your ProductBridge dashboard and click Connect.
Enter Credentials
Provide your:
- Package name — Your app's package name (e.g.,
com.yourcompany.app) - Service account key — Upload the JSON key file from Google Cloud
ProductBridge validates the connection and confirms access to your app's reviews.
Activate
Click Enable to start importing reviews. ProductBridge begins pulling reviews daily.
Configure Settings

Use the language filter to focus on reviews in languages your team can act on. You can always expand later as you add multilingual support.
How It Works
Once connected:
- Play Store reviews are imported daily and tagged with "via Play Store"
- Star ratings are mapped to sentiment scores, enhanced by AI text analysis
- Review language is detected automatically; reviews can be filtered by language in the dashboard
- Developer replies (if any) are captured alongside the original review
- All imported reviews flow into Feedback Intelligence for analysis
Play Store reviews are pulled once daily due to Google API quotas. New reviews typically appear in ProductBridge within 24 hours.
- No reviews importing — Verify the service account has the correct permissions in Google Play Console and that your app has published reviews
- Authentication errors — Ensure the JSON key file is valid and the Google Play Developer API is enabled in your Cloud project
- Permission denied — The service account must be granted access in Google Play Console under Settings > API Access, not just in Google Cloud
- Missing reviews — Some reviews may be filtered by Google. Check your language and rating filter settings
